At Aria Rose Collection we are very proud of our British heritage and this candle is definitely our most British yet. When we set out on this journey we wanted to evoke memories of our life back home and what could be more British than a sweet tea.
There is nothing quite like a lazy summer afternoon relaxing and sipping a delicious brew, our new fragrance perfectly encapsulates that feeling and takes us back to those wonderful memories back home. Earl Grey & Honey is a refreshing, sweet and zesty fragrance with notes of bergamot, lemon, honey and of course Earl Grey. Handmade in Sydney but distinctly British this artisanal candle is the perfect addition to bring a little bit of calm and relaxation to those blissful Summer days. With a little sugar and spice and all things nice Christmas truly is a wonderful time of the year.
Our range of handmade candles draws inspiration from our favorite Christmas memories of festive days spent with family surrounded by heavenly fragrance. We love Christmas and it has been a real thrill to put together a selection of candles to help you get ready for the festive season. As with all of our candles each has been lovingly handmade here in our studio on Sydney's Northern Beaches and having the ambiance of a Christmas market for the past few months has certainly been a treat. Our range of Christmas candles will transport you back to magical times. GINGERBREAD Inspired by Christmas at Grandma's house. Delicious, sweet and luxurious, it will be like Christmas has come early. MULLED WINE What is Christmas without mulled Wine. bursting with spiced orange, cinnamon and vanilla a real Christmas tradition. POMANDER One smell of Pomander is guaranteed to get us humming a Christmas song. A real Christmas that will have you counting down the days until Christmas. Do you love Christmas in July? Do you love being creative? Have you ever wanted to try making a candle?
If the answer to any of these questions is yes we have just the festive treat for you. We've been running our workshops for a little while now but this one is just that little bit more special. We love Christmas and the fact that down here in Australia we also celebrate Christmas in July is simply amazing. In this one off workshop you will be walked through the candle making process and will leave with two beautiful soy candles in your choice of delicious Christmas fragrance. If gingerbread, cinnamon spice and all things nice are right up your street this workshop will be just the thing for you. Our workshop will be held at the wonderful Discovery Markets in Wolli Creek and lasts for two hours starting at 9:30am. Sounds like a perfect Saturday morning to us. Nibbles will be provided as will all equipment and materials required. One question that we are often asked is why do you use soy wax when making your candles and why is it better. Soy wax may be a more expensive alternative to paraffin wax but in this instance the benefits found definitely justify the costs.
If we want to answer the question really simply the answer is a straight forward one. Soy wax is better. It creates a better candle burning experience, its more environmentally friendly than the alternatives and it is better for your home and most importantly your families health. Soy wax was only discovered in the 1990's making it a pretty new product and a much more cost effective option than other paraffin alternatives. As the name suggests it's made from soy beans, it's completely renewable, natural and environmentally friendly. So 100% amazing in our eyes. One of the most important things for us when we started this journey here on Sydney's Northern Beaches was to ensure that we made a product that we could be proud of, was natural and was definitely not harmful. our health and the health of the planet is important. The wax that we use is from American grown soy beans. It is natural, clean burning, toxin free, environmentally friendly and has NOT been test on Animals. So the main reasons for choosing soy wax ahead of parrafin wax in our opinion are:
Paraffin wax seems a more cost effective alternative but in the grand scheme of things and put quite simply soy is better. We love testing new scents for our Northern Beaches inspired scented soy candles. Over the last year I don't think that we would be exaggerating if we said that we have smelled over five hundered different fragrances.
It can be so hard to choose but we made a promise to ourselves at the start of our journey that we would keep our range of candle scents small and that we would not offer a crazy amount of choice. The goal in doing this is to ensure that we love every scent that we offer and that we are proud of the candles that we produce. We have been doing a lot of scent testing over the last few weeks as we have looked to develop our Christmas range and in working with a couple of our stockists in developing some very exciting exclusive candles for their stores on and around Sydney's Northern Beaches. I could pretend that this has been hard work but in reality it is so much fun. Some decisions are difficult but some are super easy. Lychee and Peony was one of the easiest decisions we have ever made, we love it. It is both exotic and delicate, a perfect match of the exquisite lychee and subtle peony petals, it truly is a perfect Northern Beaches scent with a subtle oriental twist. We are so pleased to now offer this in our store and as a key part of our Northern Beaches themed range. The last few months have been very exciting and we hope that we can keep growing, learning and bring more and more exciting soy scented candles your way. Since moving to Australia's Northern Beaches three years ago we have found ourselves indulging in the local Cafes for good coffee and amazing breakfasts.
A short drive from the beaches takes you to Cammeray, a suburb filled with bars and cafes, in particular a little gem named People Cafe. It has friendly staff, amazing service and spectacular coffee, we just love going there. We are truely blessed with some fantastic Cafes on Sydney's Northern Beaches.
One of our favourites and one of the best is the wonderful Cafe Dalmatino located in Narabeen. With its beachside setting, alfresco seating and vintage appeal this place has a special atmosphere and we are regular visitors. Open seven days a week serving breakfast, lunch and a variety of sweet treats to compliment their fantastic coffee. There is a distinct European feel to this cosy and inviting setting. The staff here are exceptionally friendly always looking after us and making a huge fuss over our little one. It is very easy to see why this place is a popular venue for family's and mothers groups. We could not recommend this place any more. |
